- Any new issues in Negri Sembilan that could trigger sensitivities or disputes should be referred to the top leadership of the unity government, said government spokesman Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
According to Fahmi, the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday (May 6) was informed that the unity government in Negri Sembilan remains under the leadership of Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun and any issues that arise after this will be referred to the top leadership.
Asked if the 14 Umno assemblymen in Negri Sembilan still support Aminuddin as Mentri Besar, Fahmi said the decision by the unity government now is that the status quo remains in the state.

- Former economy minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has questioned the timing of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki’s announcement that two individuals have been proposed for charges over a RM1.1bil semiconductor investment deal involving the Economy Ministry and a UK-based firm, calling it “odd” as investigations are still ongoing.
Speaking to reporters after giving his statement at MACC headquarters for the third consecutive day, Rafizi said the probe centres on procedural issues rather than financial transactions.
He added that he is not worried and is confident of mounting a strong defence should charges be filed.
