On at least seven occasions, the IDF has restricted the peacekeepers' movement, resulting in delays, rerouting, or being forced to return.
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has been operating in Lebanon since its inception in 1978 to monitor the cessation of hostilities and provide support to humanitarian aid, among other tasks.
