- Description
- The biggest revelation of the Ninja Man interview comes in the final segment.
After viewers call in to praise Ninja Man for handing over a firearm, Police Commissioner Francis Forbes joins the programme — and his account of what happened before Sting raises even more questions.
The Commissioner says a senior police officer informed him that discussions had taken place about a possible gun handover. According to his account, the original plan was for Ninja Man to hand over a real firearm before his performance and use an imitation gun on stage.
But that's not what happened.
A real firearm ended up being handed over publicly on stage, raising questions about who knew what, who was involved and whether the entire moment was actually planned.
Ninja Man pushes back against the suggestion that the event was staged and insists that his decision to hand over the gun was part of his attempt to change his life.

- The Ninja Man gun controversy takes a dramatic turn when a senior police officer goes on the record.
Senior Superintendent Renee Adams explains why Ninja Man was not arrested after handing over a firearm at Sting and reveals what happened when he was called onto the stage.
But then comes the bombshell.
Police Commissioner Francis Forbes had publicly suggested that the Sting gun handover involved “a lot of stage acting” and that police had been informed beforehand.
Adams says he knew nothing about any staging and even says that if the Commissioner made that claim, he was “misinformed.”
So what really happened backstage at Sting?
Was the gun handover spontaneous? Did police know beforehand? And was there a disagreement within the police force about what actually happened?
Ninja Man also addresses the controversy and insists that nothing about his performance was rehearsed or staged.

Emily Crooks puts the question directly to him and Ninja Man isn't giving up the answers easily.
In Part 2 of this revealing Exposure interview, Ninja Man is challenged over the gun lyrics that helped define his dancehall career. Did he actually possess firearms? Did he really hand over an M16 and AK-47 at Sting? Or were some of the most controversial claims simply lyrics?
The interview gets even more tense when Ninja Man is questioned about the firearm handed to the police, whether it had been loaded and whether he had ever used it.
He also explains his decision to leave his past behind, his relationship with God, why he rejects the label of “Christian,” and why he now wants to be seen as a “righteous man.”
But one question remains: Why should anybody believe Ninja Man?
