An 18-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly strangling his girlfriend of five months.
According to a booking sheet, Jakob Culver was arrested at 11 p.m. last Friday, Aug. 25, after a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy was called to a physical disturbance involving Culver and his girlfriend.
Culver's girlfriend reportedly told the deputy that she and Culver were arguing and that Culver had pushed her down multiple times and punched her numerous times in the face and buttocks.

- I was following a school Playground fire at 6113 Evers Blvd on Friday August 4th 2023 at 8:48 pm When the call went through at there was reported to the Fire Department that there was wood chips on fire under the playground as arrival they notices it wasn’t wood chips it was rubber mulch on the playground had ignited, with "hot temperatures" under the mulch contributing to the extent of the blaze. they quickly put out the fire By 11:04 , the fire was considered "under control" and "extinguished" by firefighters on the scene. Cheyenne PD Sgt. Eric Norris was also on the scene.

- On Thursday, July 27 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Cheyenne Fire Rescue (CFR) responded to a structure fire at Security Storage located at 2130 Missile Drive. The Cheyenne Police Department's Arson Unit was called to investigate the cause of the fire in cooperation with CFR.
It was determined that an adult male suspect ignited a fire inside of a storage unit. No injuries were reported. The male has been detained and police do not believe there is any ongoing threat to public safety.
The suspect has been identified as Bela Kalfman, 72, of Cheyenne. Kalfman was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Jail for third-degree arson.

- I was following a Two Vehicle Accident at 4:29 pm on July 11  on prairie ave next to Petco The Gray vehicle was coming from the Westbound parking lot in front of Petco heading Eastbound toward the Hobby Lobby they probably didn’t see the red Ford and decided to go and the red vehicle was on prairie ave Heading Southbound toward Dell Range and slammed into the side of the gray vehicle
