- I Was following a structure fire at 1529 Halligan rd, lot 16 this afternoon. Around 1:13pm LCFD#1 was dispatched to a structure fire, with automatic aid by LCFD#2, and LCFD#1 arrived on scene at 1:18 pm with heavy smoke coming from the residence. LCFD#1 immediately began a defensive attack on the structure. September 23, 2019
At 1447, on September 23, 2019, Laramie County Fire District # 2 along with Laramie County Fire District # 1, were dispatched to a grass fire that had spread to multiple structures at 7915 E Pershing Blvd. Fire crews arrived on scene within 6 minutes. Upon there arrival the homeowner reported there was still a dog in the home. Crews were able to safely remove the dog, who was quickly reunited with its owner.
The fire in the home was quickly extinguished limiting damage to only one room of the home. Two outbuildings on the property were completely destroyed by the fire. The cause of the fire was determined to be a neighbor operating a gas-powered chainsaw that ignited fuel and grass that spread to the nearby structures. Responding agencies included Laramie County Fire Districts 1 and 2, Wyoming Air National Guard Fire, F.E. Warren AFB Fire, Cheyenne Fire and Rescue, Laramie County Sheriff’s Office, and Americ...
