- On January 11, 2025, at around 7:30 PM, A fire broke out at a Cheyenne fire station on Saturday night, severely damaging the facility and destroying several firetrucks and other equipment burned up.
Three wildland firefighting apparatus and two side-by-side vehicles inside sustained catastrophic damage, and multiple oxygen bottles renderinghem "a total loss."Update Further information has been provided by Laramie County Fire Authority Chief Jason Caughey, indicating that the fire's cause remains unknown and that the apparatus destroyed would have been deployed to aid in combating California wildfires had assistance been requested.as soon as I get more information I will update the public

Both vehicles were traveling westbound on I-80 at a speed of approximately 75 miles per hour. The gray vehicle struck the rear of the black truck, causing it to become pinned underneath, and the occupants were taken to the hospital.

- The driver of a stolen vehicle is in custody after leading police officers on a chase early yesterday morning.
On Tuesday, January 7 at approximately 1:10 a.m., a Cheyenne Police Officer observed a white utility van run a red light while turning onto East Pershing Boulevard. The vehicle was later determined to be stolen out of Laramie, Wyoming.
The officer attempted to make a traffic stop but the driver, identified as Gabriel Myers, 19, a transient, refused to yield. As the officer followed, Myers drove recklessly, at times running through stop signs.
The pursuit ended when Myers crashed into three unoccupied parked vehicles near the 1400 block of West 32nd Street. He exited and ran away.
Additional officers joined the foot chase and were able to catch up with Myers. They commanded him to lay on the ground and he complied.
Myers was transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for medical clearance following the crash,...

On 01-04-25, a Winnebago Winnie Minnie was reported stolen from the area of the Moose Lodge off South Greely Highway. On the evening of 01-05-25, deputies located the Winnebago on Horse Creek Road. As deputies coordinated the contact of the driver (later identified as Ryan Jenkins), they put a spike strip under one of the Winnebago’s tires. When Jenkins realized the deputies were there, he drove off. In doing so, the spike strip deflated one of the Winnebago tires.
Deputies pursued the Winnebago east on Horse Creek. As the Jenkins passed over I-25, troopers with the Wyoming Highway Patrol were able to spike strip multiple other tires on the Winnebago. After the tires disintegrated, Jenkins continued to drive through several traffic control devices on just the sparking wheels. Jenkins failed to navigate the bend in Lincolnway at Nationway, where ...

However, the suspect chose to evade capture, leading to a high-speed pursuit during which he struck another vehicle on Central Ave & w Lincolnway and continued driving until he crashed on Otto Road. If no contract has been agreed upon by Dec. 24 at 6 a.m., Sierra Hills employees will begin a strike and return to work unconditionally on Jan. 2 at 6 a.m. During this time, Wilkinson said employees will be doing demonstrations and picketing on Dec. 26 and again on Dec. 31.
As with all health care institutions, employees are required to notify the employer no less than 10 days prior of their intention to strike so that they can hire temporary workers, typically travel nurses and travel CNAs, to fill those positions and continue care for residents.
