- The Health Department in Free State says it has put 500 million rands aside in this current financial fiscal for refurbishment of its infrastructure across the province. But the department is also losing money on contractors who do not finish the job and as a result they have to hire other contractors to finish those jobs. Some of the clinics have been built and not utilised and others are being renovated for the second time within a period of 3 years.

- Description
- In episode 3 of The Sacred Secrets of Nature we explore the perfect examples that nature constantly shows us of how we as human beings should live our lives. Like developing a stronger sense of compassion and inner balance, helping others lead better lives, to be all-round better people. Although we can discover life’s lessons in many ways — in texts, movies, the workplace, in our relationships and so much more — we can learn amazingly valuable life lessons just by observing nature.

- In episode 2 of The Sacred Secrets of Nature, we meet some of the world’s leading authorities on biomimicry, people who not only study it but also are using it every day to create more efficient products and designs. In many cases these innovative projects are having a positive impact on the Earth. We also ask religious leaders how they feel about this new science. Is it a positive step forward, or are humans trying to play God and messing with something that only God can do?

Most of these executions took place between 1960 and 1989 at the gallows at Pretoria Central Prison. About 143 people were hanged. The condemned prisoners were mostly members of APLA (Poqo) and UDF.
Justice Minister Michael Masutha spearheads the Gallows Project which aims to exhume the remains of these political fighters. Their remains will be handed over their families for proper burial. We spoke to Pan Africanist Congress Secretary-General Narius Moloto and PAC President Luthando Mbinda who applauded the operation. Marriane Fullard from the NPA’s anthropological department says the exhumation might take a year to complete. The justice department thought it will take between three and six months.

- Description
- Lives of many young women have been held back by many factors, with poverty being one them, and an absent father. Lack of direction and family (home) direction sometimes leads some of these young women going astray. Teenage pregnancy is extremely common in South Africa. Whilst its ‘problematic’ nature is a subject of debate, it reflects a pattern of sexual activity which puts teenagers at risk of HIV.
On Motswako we are chatting with Thandeka Nqayi who fell pregnant at 16. Currently one in five pregnant teenagers drop out of school, and they are raising fatherless children. We are joined by psychologist, Khosi Jiyane, who was a resident psychologist on Dream School, a TV show produced to mentor children who have been shunned by their communities. We are also joined Dr Tshepiso Douw from Wings of Change a program working with young people.

- To increase women's participation and influence in political and public decision-making, the country needs to include women in its plans to further increase leadership roles in its different states of business. Their voices are slowly being noticed, and women themselves have been working very hard to engage those in power to recognise their presence.
South African women in particular have been climbing strides in different sectors of business and leadership. It is important to look at women in leadership as a conversation to continue with the debate around the state of affairs affecting women in different positions. Women are more likely to live in challenging situations, and poverty than men, so it is essential to recognise their voices. Mapaseka speaks with one of South Africa's most influential women, Chairperson of the NCOP - National Council of Provinces, Honorable Thandi Modise and they chat about the challenges faced by SA women in authority or influential position...

- Masturbation can be taboo to many of us. It goes without saying that not many people, friends, or couples find it easy to converse about it. But does masturbation have reasons to be taboo and what exactly are the pros and cons of it? These questions seldom get discussed as a consequence of the nature of the conversation. Mapaseka connects with three women, Zamo, Vuyisanani and Mirriam and they ask why it is so difficult to speak about masturbation, and they also look at why some women prefer it to sexual intercourse.
