The OG Sand Dollar Lounge on Polaris and Spring Mountain is live-streaming Phish’s shows from Sphere throughout the band’s run through May 2. The performances are broadcast on all of the club’s big screens and the audio plays through the club.
The club simply runs Phish’s own livestream on its official YouTube page. There is no cover, so it is a big club party rather than a ticketed event. Limited to 21 and overs, of course.
Every Phish performance starts at 8 p.m. Opening bands are brought in, with Carlos Guerrero & Friends on Friday and the People’s Dead (the venerable Dead tribute band out of Ventura, Calif.) on Saturday.

- MGM Grand Buffet in the MGM Grand on the Las Vegas Strip is closing after service on May 31, the property said in a Friday announcement that also revealed there were “no immediate plans for the space.”
Once the MGM Grand Buffet closes, only a half-dozen or so will remain at properties on the Strip. By some estimates, during their heyday, about 70 buffets flourished along the resort corridor, but in recent years, their numbers have dwindled.
Some properties elected not to reopen buffets because of public health concerns as the city emerged from the pandemic. Dining preferences have also shifted away from buffets (with younger diners especially preferring food halls).
The news ends a week of noteworthy restaurant closings for MGM Resorts International, as the company announced Monday that legendary Le Cirque at Bellagio, a foundational restaurant in the modern Vegas fine dining movement, would be shuttering after service on Aug. 23. MGM Resorts ...

- April is the cruelest month for Las Vegas restaurants in 2026.
El Dorado Cantina, which debuted in January 2020 in Tivoli Village near Summerlin, has closed, according to Lyman Lambson, director of operations.
“El Dorado Cantina has made the difficult decision to close its Tivoli Village restaurant, effective immediately,” Lambson said in a statement for Neon. “This outcome follows extensive efforts to reach a mutually beneficial agreement with the property’s landlord; however, despite negotiations, an agreement could not be achieved, and the team was ultimately left with no alternative but to vacate the space.”
The restaurant also announced the closing through its mailing list.
“We are incredibly grateful for everyone who supported us at Tivoli Village over the years,” the announcement reads. “Thank you for being part of that location’s story and for continuing to support El Dorado Cantina.”

This is a tour stop on “The Ugly Tour.” This is a beautifully self-effacing title for the man born Jaten Dimsdale, and whose name is a full sentence and an acronym for Someone Who Isn’t Me Sometimes.
We most recently caught Swims cavorting on stage with David Lee Roth at Coachella. His latest show in Las Vegas was Aug. 1 at PH Live, which he sold out.
Swims was also the unlikely co-star of a video of the single “Gone Gone Gone,” joining superstar DJ David Guetta and Australian “Dance Monkey” singer-songwriter Tones and I in downtown Las Vegas.

The top-selling female country artist of all time was announced Wednesday as the show’s host. The ACMs emanate from the Grand Garden Arena for the first time (tickets on sale at AXS.com) at 5 p.m. Pacific time May 17 on Prime Video.
Twain has headlined residencies at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace from 2012-2014, and Zappos Theater in two runs from 2019-’22 and 2024-’25. In a statement, Twain said: “I’m thrilled to be hosting the 61st ACM Awards in Las Vegas, a place that feels like home.”
She has won three ACM Awards and five Grammys.

- An old stunt is about to get new life at an equally new venue.
To commemorate the opening of the Omnia Dayclub & Skybar at Caesars Palace, X-Games and motocross star Colby Raha will attempt a motorcycle jump across the property’s fountains on May 17.
In 1967, famed daredevil Evel Knievel first attempted the same jump — and failed.
His son, Robbie Knievel, made up for Dad’s crash by completing the stunt in 1989.
Nearly three decades later, motocross icon Travis Pastrana also landed the jump in 2018.
The high-flying stunt will help christen the debut weekend of the 46,000-square-foot Omnia Dayclub, which boasts two pools, 15 cabanas, two VIP plunge pools, three bars and a restaurant.
EDM superstar Fisher will be the first to man the club’s DJ decks on May 15, followed by Rüfüs du Sol (DJ set) on May 16 and Martin Garrix on May 17.
