- Hear compiled statements from Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, Pam Bondi, Greg Bovino, Fox News commentators, and others as they defend the killing of ICU nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, and place responsibility on the man who died rather than the federal agents who fired the shots.
Across press conferences and television appearances, Pretti is labeled a “domestic terrorist,” his legal firearm ownership is repeatedly emphasised, and his presence at the protest is framed as proof of violent intent. Rather than waiting for a full investigation, officials and media figures move quickly to construct a narrative in which the shooting was unavoidable and justified.
Hear how the protests are described as “riots,” how questions about ICE’s use of force are treated as sympathy for criminality, and how accountability is dismissed as hostility toward law enforcement. Viewers are told that Pretti “is the only person who could have prevented” his own death. What ...

- Description
- Andy Burnham has found himself, yet again, back in the national political spotlight over rumours of a leadership challenge to Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
In Greater Manchester, Labour MP for Gorton and Denton Andrew Gwynne stepped down citing ill health. That move has triggered a by-election in Gorton and Denton, and almost immediately people started asking the big question: could Andy Burnham be heading back to Westminster?
Burnham, who’s currently serving his third term as Mayor of Greater Manchester, hasn’t confirmed anything yet. But the idea of him running has clearly rattled parts of the Labour Party. Some MPs and local activists have been openly enthusiastic, seeing Burnham as a popular, plain-speaking figure who could strengthen Labour’s northern base. Others — especially figures close to Keir Starmer’s leadership team — are much less keen.
Reports over the last two days suggest senior Labour figures and members of the party...

- Today on the PoliticsJOE Podcast, Laura posits a bold theory: Romford is about to become the centre of British politics, and the battle lines are already drawn.
After heading to the Essex town in the wake of Andrew Rosindell’s defection to Reform, Laura argues that Romford is a political bellwether; a microcosm of the chaos reshaping British democracy. Why? Because its electorate is splitting between two champions: Big John Fisher and Tom Skinner.
Both are Romford boys. Both speak to working class culture. But politically, Tom Skinner’s recent move to Reform puts him at the heart of the party’s populist, protest-vote appeal. Laura breaks down how Reform is building its coalition from traders, commuters, pensioners and small-business owners who feel forgotten by Westminster.

They break down a fiery Prime Minister’s Questions where Starmer, seemingly emboldened by the passionate defences of the world order from leaders like Emmanuel Macron and Ursula von der Leyen at Davos, at last stands up to Donald Trump over his threats on Greenland and European economies.
Starmer tells the House he will not yield to Trump’s tariff threats or intimidation, declaring that the future of Greenland belongs to the people of Greenland and Denmark alone.
Kemi Badenoch goes on the attack over the Chagos deal, accusing Starmer of weakness and demanding the money be spent on defence instead. Starmer fires back, claiming Badenoch is parroting rhetoric deliberately peddled by Trump to undermine British solidarity with Greenland, accusing the opposition of “naked opportunism”.
