- In a clip from today's podcast, Andy joins Seán to debrief his televised clash with Matt Goodwin last Friday over his accusations that the Gorton and Denton by-election loser used AI to research his book.
Back in the studio, Seán and Andy revisit the best moments of the debate, from Goodwin’s evasive answers to his use of ChatGPT to defend himself. Andy walks through the key accusations he raised, including claims of misrepresented statistics, questionable sourcing, and what he sees as a fundamental misunderstanding of the data underpinning Goodwin’s arguments.
And what are the ramifications for the man who envisioned himself as the successor to Nigel Farage? With his fellow GB News anchors openly laughing at him, it seems safe to say Matt Goodwin has lost the dressing room.

- Elon Musk: The world's biggest benefits cheat | Quinn Slobodian and Ben Tarnoff interview

- Description
- Ava sits down with Quinn Slobodian and Ben Tarnoff, co-authors of Muskism, to unpack the political evolution of Elon Musk, from his upbringing in apartheid South Africa to his role in the Trump administration.
Slobodian and Tarnoff argue Musk is not a lone billionaire, but an 'indicator species' for deeper shifts in global capitalism. They outline how Musk’s worldview was shaped by South Africa’s fusion of technological ambition and political control, and how that legacy echoes in his later obsession with sovereignty, vertical integration, and state power.
The interview explores Musk’s rise alongside key political moments: the Obama-era push for green industrial policy, the transformation of government contracting that enabled companies like SpaceX and Tesla to thrive, and the rise of Donald Trump. Far from being anti-state, Musk’s success is rooted in 'state symbiosis', a deep fusion between private capital and public power.
And how does ...

- Ava caught economist Yanis Varoufakis before his conversation with Zack Polanski, Jeremy Corbyn, and Grace Blakeley at a DiEM25 event in London. The former Greek Minister of Finance offered a blistering critique of today’s political leadership across the UK, Europe, US, and beyond.
Varoufakis doesn’t hold back about Prime Minister Keir Starmer, accusing him of “buckling” under pressure from Donald Trump and branding him “the master of U-turns.” He argues that Britain has lost its political spine on the global stage, acting more like a subordinate than sovereign power.
On Ukraine, he offers a scathing assessment of the West's handling of the war and relations with Vladimir Putin, questioning whether they have any strategy at all. His verdict is brutal: no plan for war, no plan for peace, and total reliance on the United States.
On Iran and global tensions, he warns of deep fractures in the international order, linking them to decades of...

- Laura, Seán and Andy return to react to today's bout at the despatch box, as well as questions from MPs and Nigel Farage's storm out.
Kemi Badenoch came out swinging, taking aim at Keir Starmer over his refusal to approve new North Sea oil and gas licences. She argued the government is jeopardising UK energy security and accused the Prime Minister of ducking the decision, as well as claiming he was under the yoke of Energy Secretary Ed Miliband.
Starmer hit back as ever by leaning on the legal process, insisting the decision sits with the relevant Secretary of State, and doubled down on Labour’s shift toward renewables.
Away from the headline clash, things got stranger. Nigel Farage dramatically stormed out of the chamber mid-session (though, as the trio point out, you'd have missed it if MPs hadn’t tried to make two points of order).

From questionable statistics about English language use in schools to references that appear to trace back to ChatGPT, the pair expose what is at the very least a lack of academic rigour.

- Description
- Laura sits down with Lena Swedlow, Deputy Director of Compass, for a deep dive into one of the great questions in British politics: is the electoral system fundamentally broken?
Drawing on Compass’s latest research, Lena argues that first-past-the-post hasn’t just shaped election outcomes, but actively shaped the country. From entrenched inequality to the rise of Reform UK and the Brexit vote, the pair explore how Britain’s political system may have created the very instability it now struggles to contain.
The discussion unpacks why decades of two-party dominance left many voters feeling ignored, particularly in so-called “safe seats,” and how that democratic disillusionment has driven shocks in recent years. Lena explains how economic decline, lack of representation, and a narrow focus on swing voters have combined to produce a system where millions feel their votes simply don’t matter.
Laura and Lena also challenge common narratives ...

She warned that this Labour government is “running out of time” and criticised policies like Shabana Mahmood's immigration reforms. Badenoch wasted no time putting it to the Prime Minister at the despatch box.
Badenoch also pressed Starmer on whether he personally spoke to Peter Mandelson before his appointment, with the PM giving rather evasive answers. Starmer hit back hard, accusing both the Conservatives and Reform of reckless positioning and calling out Nigel Farage directly for his u-turns on the matter.
