- The Peabody Awards have been honoring "stories that matter" since 1941, recognizing distinguished achievement and excellence in television storytelling, news, blogs, radio, webcasts, producing organizations, and individuals. Winners include Orange Is the New Black, Scandal, Orphan Black, House of Cards, and Breaking Bad. Previous hosts of the ceremony have included such legends as the late Walter Cronkite, Larry King, and Jon Stewart.
Ira Glass will host this year's awards ceremony from New York City, and on June 1 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, for the first time ever, you can take a front seat and watch the 2014 Peabody Awards special on Pivot.
