- The Sallisaw Veterans Home was originally scheduled to open in March of 2023- but cost overruns and delays pushed that back to June of last year. It was September of 2020 when they broke ground on the Sallisaw Veterans Center to replace the aging Talihina facility.
The new center recently received federal approval, which will allow more veterans to move into the state-of-the-art facility.
