- One of Oklahoma's most famous artists, Paul Moore, will receive the nation's highest award for #sculpture. The National Sculpture Society will present Moore with the Special Medal of Honor at its annual conference this summer
In the society's 127 year history only 45 special honors have been given.
One of his best-known pieces is the "Oklahoma Centennial Land Run Monument" in #OKC which includes 45 bronze elements, stretching for 365 feet.
OETA's #GalleryAmerica covered Paul a few years ago—host Robert Reid now checks in with him via Zoom—to see his reaction to the honor.

- Tulsa's Greenwood Art Project is the combined work of over 30 artists working to commemorate the centennial of the Tulsa Race Massacre and re-cultivate Tulsa's Greenwood and Black Wall Street. There will be experimental plays, poetry festivals, centennial walks, fire sculptures, hip hop album/documentaries, modern dance, '20s-era balls. Most events happening in May, but running from now through summer. The GAP Van, a mobile gallery, is the first to roll out. It's prompting all of Tulsa to create posters on Greenwood, as part of PBS' American Portrait series. Robert Reid of Gallery America talks here with Greenwood Art Project's Program Director Jerica Wortha about the van and this year's plan.
