Levine, alongside Mayor Zohran Mamdani, announced settlements with two companies — Salz Management LLC, a Dunkin' and Taco Bell franchisee, and fashion retailer Theory — that will send checks to more than 830 workers that the city says were subject to violations.
Levine says he hopes "workers get the message that if they're getting schedules that are not predictable, they're not getting compensated when there are last-minute changes, they should come to DCWP and file a complaint."

Visitors had the chance to be lifted up to get a face-to-face look at the bird, with some using the opportunity to dress up as pigeons themselves. A few actual pigeons also made an appearance.
A 27-foot-tall Buddha sculpture is set to replace the pigeon this spring. However, an online petition to make "Dinosaur" a permanent High Line fixture has racked up thousands of signatures.

- Mayor Zohran Mamdani signed an executive order Thursday creating the Mayor’s Office of Community Safety. Mamdani said the office will consist of three divisions: the Division of Neighborhood Safety, the Division of Community Mental Health and the Division of Strategic Initiatives. To lead it all, Mamdani appointed former Mayor Bill de Blasio aide Renita Francois as the first deputy mayor overseeing the office, making her the administration’s first Black deputy mayor.
