- No life was lost and no injury was recorded after a 40-foot container truck crashed into six vehicles at Kara Bridge, inward OPIC, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, on Tuesday morning.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said the container truck, which had no registration number, reportedly developed a mechanical fault while in motion, lost control and rammed into the other vehicles. Seven vehicles were involved in the crash.
LASEMA’s LRT Tiger Squad, stationed at C3, responded to a distress call at about 6:05 a.m. and worked alongside the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and the Nigeria Police Force to secure the scene, manage traffic and prevent further incidents.
The damaged vehicles were subsequently removed from the carriageway, allowing traffic flow to be restored. The vehicles were later handed over to the police for documentation and further action.
