- On August 2, Princess Aiko visited the Ise Shrine and watched people carrying timber to the Shinto shrine, which will be used in an event in 2033. The Okihiki ceremony was held for Shikinen Sengu, a ritual tradition of rebuilding the shrine once every 20 years. She changed her clothes and joined the rope ritual as well.
