This song, made famous by the international blockbuster ‘Home Alone’ in 1990, was originally composed by Ukrainian composer Mykolaiv Leontovych. It tells the story of a swallow.
It harkens back to the pre-Christian era of Ukrainian culture and was originally sung during new years celebrations, when swallows returned home.
We hope for a swift return home for our brave heroes too.

- Description
- On Oct. 17, Ukraine successfully hit two Russian airfields in occupied parts of the country with U.S.-provided ATACMS. The long-range ballistic missiles were long desired by Kyiv, with the country's officials saying these missiles would substantially improve Ukraine's war effort.
Oleksiy Sorokin, deputy chief editor of the Kyiv Independent, will explain how the ATACMS provided to Ukraine work, how they differ from other long-range missiles, and what will now change on the battlefield.
