A Border Policeman and a 30-year-old woman were wounded in two stabbing attacks in Jerusalem on Sunday morning.
In the first incident, the officer, in his 20s, was wounded at the entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem. The Palestinian assailant was shot and killed.
A few hours later, Magen David Adom rescue services reported another stabbing attack near a bus in the city. The victim was moderately wounded and the assailant fled the scene. A suspected assailant was detained later.

Palestinian attacker shot dead by security forces after coming out of his car armed with a knife and stabbing the victim in the South Hebron Hills.
An Israeli soldier was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack in the South Hebron Hills in the West Bank on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred near the Al-Fawwar refugee camp. According to initial reports, a Palestinian man came out of his car armed with a knife and stabbed an Israeli. The Israeli, a man in his 20s, was seriously hurt. The assailant was shot by Israeli security forces and later succumbed to his wounds.

Putin Says Downed Russian Pilot Rescued and Safe in Syria
The Syrian army picked up one the pilots and moved him to Russia's base there. The second pilot was reported dead.Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that a second pilot from the Russian jet shot down by Turkey near the Syrian border has been rescued.
Putin was speaking in televised comments on Wednesday after Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told Russian news agencies that the man was rescued in a 12-hour operation which ended in the early hours on Wednesday and is now "safe and sound" at Russia's air base in the government-controlled area in Syria. The other pilot of the Su-24 jet was reported dead.

An Israeli was very lightly wounded Sunday morning in a stabbing attack at the Kfar Adumim Junction in the West Bank. The assailant was shot after a failed attempts to run over and stab passersby, the police said.
The incident took place shortly after a Palestinian woman attempted to stab a settler near Hawara, but was run over and shot dead. The former mayor of the Samaria Regional Council, Gershon Mesika, hit the would-be assailant with his car, before soldiers and a civilian shot and killed her.

A 27-year-old Palestinian was killed early on Thursday during an Israeli military raid on a Hebron hospital.
An IDF plainclothes unit numbering about 20, according to eyewitnesses, entered the Al Ahli Hospital in order to arrest Azam Shalaldah, 20, who was hospitalized in the surgical ward. According to Israeli security agencies Shalaldah was wanted for committing a West Bank stabbing attack on October 25 that left one Israeli moderately wounded.

After Israel captured the territory from Syria in a 1967 war, archaeologists studying an aerial survey spotted a pattern of stone circles not visible from the ground. Subsequent excavations revealed it was one of the oldest and largest structures in the region.

Israeli Paraglides Into Syria in Apparent Attempt to Join Rebel Group
Cleared for publication: 23-year-old Israeli Arab crosses border on Saturday evening; landing site unknown at this stage.
A 23-year-old Israeli Arab paraglided over the border into Syria Saturday night in an apparent attempt to join the civil war.
During the night Saturday, Israeli military forces, including fighter jets, were seen deployed in the Golan Heights. The Israeli censor banned reporting on the incident until Sunday morning.
Israeli military lookouts identified a glider crossing the border into Syrian territory at 5 P.M. on Saturday. Large military forces were rushed to the scene. Aircrafts flew overhead in an attempt to identify the landing site.
