- According to the World Health Organization, chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects more than 850 million people globally. It’s one of the top 10 causes of death worldwide, yet many people don’t even know their kidneys are failing — until it’s too late.
Here’s the problem: the kidneys are silent workers. They filter your blood, remove waste, regulate your blood pressure, produce hormones that keep your bones strong, and even help control the production of red blood cells. But once damaged, they rarely recover.
That’s why kidney health should be a priority, not an afterthought.
Here are 10 practical ways to protect your kidneys and maintain their optimal function.

- NCAA blacklist Kwam 1 from flying in Nigeria for six months
- Runtime

- Date posted

- Description
- A new video has shown how Wasiu Ayinde, the veteran Fuji musician popularly known as Kwam 1, engaged personnel of ValueJet in an altercation that culminated in the airline breaching safety protocol. This comes as it emerged that Kwam 1 may be banned from flying in Nigeria for six months.
The NCAA says the move follows a series of infractions at Abuja airport — including claims he attempted to board a flight with an “unidentified substance,” later confirmed to be alcohol.
Kwam 1 denies this, insisting it was just water. But the fallout has already hit others — including two pilots who have been suspended over the incident.
Is the six-month blacklist justified or too harsh? Should celebrities be held to a higher standard when flying?
