- One year later, the shock still permeates the Republican Party, including its leader. At the Republican midterm convention in Dallas on Wednesday, President Donald Trump spoke about his friend Charlie Kirk.
"Charlie spoke the truth. What shocked millions of Americans was not only the fact that Charlie was murdered as bad as it was, but also how many people made an excuse for it or cheered for it," he said, referring to those who posted positive comments about Kirk's death online.
Kirk is being celebrated for his ability to mobilize young voters, on college campuses and online, through his group Turning Point USA.
His murder during an event at Utah Valley University drew international attention - the chief suspect, Tyler Robinson, pleaded not guilty but allegedly admitted to shooting him, telling his roommate he had enough of his hatred.

In the first half of the game, Smithson Valley came out in full force, quickly securing a 13-point lead in the first quarter, blocking any and all attempts from Sotomayor to get traction.
At halftime, the Rangers took even more of a stronghold over the Wildcats, commanding a 26-0 lead. This would hold the same through the third quarter.
But despite all of this against them, the Wildcats were able to rally in the fourth quarter, securing two touchdowns against the massive defense of Smithson Valley.
However, despite this, the Rangers' lead only grew, with the game wrapping up with an overall score of 47-14, and Smithson Valley taking the win.

- McDonald’s is shaking up its fall coffee menu this year. For the first time in a decade, McDonald’s will not offer its pumpkin spice latte and will instead serve a caramel apple pie coffee flavor. The company’s new fall menu shift was announced last week.
McDonald’s spokesperson told CNN, “Caramel Apple Pie is the only fall coffee flavor McDonald’s is releasing this year. While Pumpkin Spice will not be part of this year’s lineup, we’re always exploring new ways to give fans seasonal flavors to enjoy.”
