Denver Special Agent in Charge James Yacone discusses role of Denver's Joint Terrorism Task Force.
Transcript:
Our Joint Terrorism Task Forces are very active, not just from an international terrorism perspective, but also a domestic terrorism perspective.
So we actually have three Joint Terrorism Task Force squads focused on international terrorism, and then one specific squad here focused on domestic terrorism.
And it works well. All of the local and state police officers and detectives have the same
clearances that the agents do. They sit side by side. And the way we work it is, if that
agency has a terrorism matter occur in their area of responsibility, that local or state
agency, that local or state officer will work jointly with an FBI agent as a case agent on
that case.

A $150,000 reward is being offered in the murder case of Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington.
The 20-year-old was last seen after a Metallica concert in Charlottesville, Virginia back in 2009. Her remains were later found outside of the city in a remote field. Captain Timothy Lyon of the Virginia State Police says this case has been a priority since day one.
This crime we feel was horrific in nature and what we want to do is bring closure to Morgan's family. We want an arrest and that's what we're committed to doing.
Morgan's case is linked by DNA to a 2005 sexual assault in Fairfax City, Virginia.
Two enhanced composite sketches of the suspect are available to the public. Alasdair Mackenzie, the FBI's Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Richmond Division says...

- The FBI is on the lookout for a mother and son whose family business allegedly included running brothels.
Amparo Montas Hernandez, who is known as Iris, and her son, Eddy Vasquez, staffed the southwest Florida brothels with illegal immigrants from Central and South America.
Special Agent James Roncinske, of the Tampa Division, says... Iris was the actual operator, the brains behind the whole organization; and her son was allegedly an enforcer.
The FBI received information that the girls staffing the brothels were either underage or were paying off debt to human smugglers known as "coyotes," who snuck them across the U.S. border.
We eventually charged them with the federal charge of harboring illegal aliens.
The mother and son took off to their native county of the Dominican Republic, where they may still be today. For descriptions and photos, visit www.fbi.gov. If you have any information about this case, contact your loc...

Hello. I am FBI Director Bob Mueller.
And on behalf of the men and woman of the FBI I want to recognize and thank all of our law enforcement colleagues as we observe National Police Week.
During this week we pay tribute to your service. Your jobs demand great sacrifices. And every day as you put on your badges and go to work you live out the meaning for the words like duty, honor and bravery.
This week we especially honor and remember those men and women who have given their lives to protect their fellow citizens.
In recent years we have seen a dramatic increase in line-of-duty deaths. Unfortunately the latest report indicates this trend continues.
Each of these losses is devastating. And each one reminds us that the safety and the freedom we enjoy come only at great cost.

Before Dolce began helping victims as a therapy dog, he assisted Rachel as a service dog.
Rachel's rheumatoid arthritis can sometimes make it too painful to do daily chores.
Some of the things he learned as a service dog—he would turn lights on and off, he could jump up and do the switches, he did my laundry.

- FBI Surveillance Footage of John Gotti
- Runtime

- Description
- Surveillance footage of John Gotti taken between 1988 and 1990. It was 20 years ago, on April 2, 1992, that legendary New York mobster John Gotti was convicted of racketeering and other charges and sent to jail for what turned out to be the rest of his life.
During his long and violent criminal career, he became known as both "The Dapper Don" (for his expensive suits and lavish parties) and "Teflon Don" (for several high-profile acquittals). A joint NYPD/FBI investigation beginning in the 1980s changed all that, providing an air-tight case—supported by the judge's decision to keep all jurors anonymous—that led to Gotti's conviction on all 13 counts. He died in jail in 2002.

Transcript: In the past, in the physical world when somebody would rob a bank, the pool of suspects is limited to the number of people in the general vicinity of that bank.
Today when a bank is robbed digitally, virtually, although it is very real for the victims, the money is actually gone; the pool of suspects is limited to the number of people on the face of the earth that have a laptop and an internet connection, because anybody with an internet connection potentially can attack any other computer that's tied to the network. So the barrier of entry is relatively low.
I think that going forward, this is not going away. I mean, we are not backing away from the internet. We are not going to change technology.
As technology increases, this challenge becomes greater so w...
