Désormais, un remboursement pouvant atteindre 5 875 $ de la taxe de bienvenue sera appliqué aux premiers acheteurs ayant acquis une propriété en 2026. La mesure, rétroactive au 1er janvier, prévoit un remboursement complet des premiers 5 000 $, puis partiel jusqu’au plafond. Le soutien moyen est estimé à 3 700 $ par ménage. Destinée à contrer la hausse du coût de la vie, elle coûtera 140 millions par an et bénéficiera à environ 38 000 foyers.
