BSE Sensex lost 788 points or 1.05 per cent to hit the day's low of 74,039. The 30-pack index was trading 750 points or 1 per cent lower 74,076. Meanwhile, its NSE counterpart Nifty 50 crashed 256 points or 1.09 per cent to 23,190. At last check, it was down 244 points or 1.04 per cent at 23,202.
Most sectoral indices, barring pharma, traded with deep cuts. Banking and financial services stocks were the top drags in trade today.
