Michael has been in Beijing for almost a year. He is learning Chinese language at Beijing Institute of Technology; meanwhile he is also learning how to cook authentic Chinese food.
Michael developed an interest in Chinese culinary art after cooking by Chinese chefs deeply impressed him. When asked about his favorite dish, he smiled and said, “It’s got to be Huiguorou (stir-fried boiled pork slices in hot sauce). It’s spicy and nice.”
Michael works hard and tries to think out of the box. He sees himself working as a head chef in a nice Chinese restaurant in the future.
This is his story.

- This week, despite technical difficulties, the show is on track bringing you crazy trending stories from around the world. This week, our theme's rapping…well sort of.
MC I don't know ya
Right off the bat, the trending stories this week were related to rapping. NBC's Tonight show has uploaded another brilliant super cut of anchor Brian Williams rapping Snoop D. O. double G's "Who am I". The second song we have is from the fine folks over at Screen Junkies and Epic Rap Battle, they parodied the Lego Song. The final song is sadly unexplainable. It's either really bad or really good, we can't tell.
Mermaids, mermen
First we had furries, then we had Bronie's, now we have merfolk. That's right, adult people are now dressing up and pretending to be denizens of the sea! Last week at Merfest was held in Cary, North Carolina. The “trend” of merfolk has been growing for quite a while, there's even a mermaid school in the Philippines.

I used to be an adventurer.
A man in Changsha, Hunan province ended up in the hospital earlier this week after being shot by an arrow…to the knee. The man was hanging laundry out to dry on his balcony when all of a sudden he was stuck by the arrow. Turns out it was an accident caused by a hapless neighbor enthralled by archery instead of a Hunger Games scenario.
