- POLICE STATEMENT: At 7:17 PM Stow PD’s FLOCK cameras alerted officers that an Attempted Murder suspect had just entered Stow. The suspect was located in the City of Hudson by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and a pursuit ensued. The suspect was involved in a crash at SR91 and Terex Rd and fled on foot while firing shots at an OSP trooper. Stow Officers responded to help find the suspect. The suspect carjacked a minivan and a second pursuit ensued which traveled south, back into Stow. Multiple agencies were involved in the pursuit, which at one point drove onto the grounds of Fox Den golf course. The pursuit came to an end when the suspect struck a Summit County Metro Parks cruiser at the intersection of Saybrook Blvd. and Bunker Lane, flipping it onto it’s roof. The suspect fled on foot again, but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody by Stow Officers behind a residence. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is taking the lead on the investigation.

Footage uploaded to Facebook by Kamloops Fire Rescue shows firefighters calling to the fawn as it bounded down a hill, squeaking as it ran. The fawn reached the bottom of the hill and ran out of harm’s way. “For a short time, it seemed the little one may have mistaken one of our firefighters for its mom,” the fire rescue wrote. They said the fawn was reunited with its mother a short time later. According to local media, the wildfire the fire rescue responded to reached nearly fifty acres and was believed to be human-caused. An investigation was underway as of July 8.
