- Je bent nooit te oud om te fietsen. Dat denken ze toch bij woonzorgcentrum Clos Bizet in Anderlecht. Al de hele week rijden negentig-plussers in een bakfiets door de wijk daar. Een heel fijne uitstap voor een groep mensen die bijna nooit meer buiten komt.

- Tot voor enkele jaren prijkte aan de Steenkoolkaai een opvallende reclamemuur voor Zanussi, het Italiaanse merk voor huishoudtoestellen. Een foto van Stephan Vanfleteren tijdens Winterpret 2016 maakte de muurschildering extra iconisch. Nog meer faam kreeg de muur toen een street artist de letters 'Z-A-N-U-S-S-I' bewerkte tot 'A-N-U-S', en het beeld van een gigantische kringspier voorzag. Zanussi en z'n derrière verdwenen in 2017 achter nieuwbouwappartementen van vastgoedgigant Bouygues Immobilier en ook naar andere oude muurreclame in olieverf is het nu goed zoeken.

- Met het Kaaitheater en de oude Citroën-garage in de stellingen, is er aan Sainctelette een immense culturele zone in aanbouw. Het Kaaitheater breidt zich uit en KANAL-Centre Pompidou wordt een toonaangevend kunstencentrum. Met de afbraak van de Citroën-garage kwamen op de zijgevel van het Kaaitheater de letters 'Luna-theater' tevoorschijn. Die roepen herinneringen op aan een andere tijd, waar op deze plaats een geheel andere vorm van ontspanning was.
