- UDOT warns drivers of delays as US-6 reduced to 1 lane near Thistle Junction until November

- Crews are beginning work on an interchange project at Thistle Junction, so UDOT is advising drivers to prepare for moderate delays on U.S. Route 6 this summer and fall, including holidays.
The closures begin at 7 a.m. on Friday, May 8, and they are scheduled to end on Nov. 15. Two miles of US-6 near Thistle Junction (the intersection of US-6 and US-89) will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

According to Cedar City Street Superintendent, Eric Witzke, Russian Olive Trees are an invasive species that take over the channels and creeks. They overgrow and are very difficult to maintain, which is why the city is taking this opportunity to irradicate them.
