- One year ago today, Pine Valley was changed forever. The Forsyth Fire ripped through the landscape, burning everything in its path across more than 15,000 acres, including 13 homes. Today, scars can still be seen fused into the mountainside, and as the one-year mark comes to pass, community members are gathering to reflect on their recovery and healing in the wake of disaster.
