- The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 26-year-old Kenneth Jerome Logan Jr. He is accused of shooting at a woman in the parking garage of the Orange County Courthouse in Downtown Orlando Wednesday.
The incident was reported around 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies found a woman “who was shot at by a person known to her, but not injured.”
An arrest warrant says the victim had returned to her car in the parking garage when she noticed her driver’s seat had been moved. Then she saw someone in the backseat.
Investigators say Logan got out of the car and fired his gun twice at the woman, then chased her through the garage.
The suspect fled the scene after the shooting.

Officers responded just before 10 p.m. to the area of Poplar Avenue and West 10th Street. Investigators say a group was in the street for what they describe as a “family gathering” when suspects started shooting. Police arrived within minutes and secured the scene. The motive for the shooting remains unknown. No arrests have been made, and investigators continue to work to identify those responsible.

According to police, of the eight victims, five have been treated and released from the hospital. Three victims remain hospitalized — two in critical condition and one in stable condition.

- An Ormond Beach police officer was shot in the leg at a Daytona Beach hospital while struggling with a suspect in the attack on an elderly Ormond Beach couple, officials said.
In a joint news conference with Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young on Monday, Ormond Beach Police Chief Robert “Jesse” Godfrey said the officer, identified as Austin Long, was assigned to guard 40-year-old Michael Hightower after he was arrested in connection with an attack on an elderly couple at Daytona College in Ormond Beach.
During an MRI at AdventHealth Daytona Beach, Hightower struggled with officers and reached for Long’s gun, which was in its holster. Hightower was able to remove the weapon far enough to fire one shot, striking Long in the leg.
Other officers subdued Hightower before he could gain full control of the gun, said Godfrey. No medical staff or other officers were injured.

Valda Coryat said she and her husband spotted two wild hogs less than 10 minutes from their home, along Boggy Creek Road and Lake Nona Boulevard. The area is busy with drivers and pedestrians, making the sightings especially unsettling for some residents.
Neighbors say wild hogs are not an uncommon sight in Lake Nona. But residents say that familiarity has not made the animals any less concerning.
