- Air pollution is an issue that the national government through the ministry of climate change is taking every steps to address.
The first PA of the ministry of climate change, Mr. Shadrack Welegtabit had made his official launching on behave of the state minister, hon. Ralph Regenvanu.
The minister's statement had highlighted that a mature cause of the air pollution in the country is through the transports in the country.
The ministry of climate change director, Mrs. Touasi Tiwok said that the aim of the national government now is to ensure that there is clean, safe and healthy environmnet in Vanuatu.

- With the collaboration with Mangrove studio in New Caledonia, the Vanuatu broadcasting and television corporation (VBTC) through Events & Marketing Enterprises will host one of the biggest regional concert in Vanuatu on 15 of April 2023. 'Pacific Legends' Five hour non stop concert.
This special concert will include some of the top regional artists and bands who actually leading the chart in music sales and live concerts in the late 80s and 90s and early 2000.
The Artists include 'Black Rose' from Fiji, 'Gurijele' form New Calednoia, 'Sharzy' from Solomon, Justin Wellington from PNG and the Vanuatu band, Vatoro.
VBTC senior technical officer, mr. Warren Robert said that this 'Five hour non stop music concert' is to showcase these Pacific legends to the new generation and upcoming artists in Vanuatu. He added that this will also help give new artists what type of music flavor that had made these legends so popular at their time.

- Vanuatu foreign affairs minister, hon. Jotham Napat had signed a new project agreement with the ambassader of Japan to Vanuatu, Mr. CHIBA Hirohisa.
This agreement had took place after the bilateral meeting between the Japan foreign affairs minister, hon. TAKEI Shunsuke who recently visited Vanuatu.
Both Ministers had discuss possibilities on international corporation and external trade behind close doors.
The project signed by both government was worth around an amount of 200 million vatu.

- Locals in the country had raise huge concern over the unfair service that some tourism businesses are currently overing to them.
Some locals said the government through the Vanuatu tourism had launched the campaign 'Sapotem Lokol Turisim' on the covid-19 lockdown and it was greatly supported by most locals. After the opening of border, tourism is unfair to them.
Resorts are no longer providing fair services to locals compare to tourists and thus create a big question to the locals about the Vanuatu tourism campaign during the covid-19 lockdown.
In respond, the Vanuatu tourism office said there is a channel available that anyone can report unfair treatment to them so they can deal with.

- The finance minister, hon. John Salong confirm with VBTC News that due to cyber attack on government network, all files that are stored on government network where completely wipe out and thus affects the 6000 applicants who had appply for Stimulus package.
The Ministry of finance had recieve a total of 6000 application in 2022. Ot of these 6000 applicants, 4000 had recieve their Stimulus package, and for the other 2000, the Ministry of finance had decide to cancel their application.
Finance minister, hon. John Salong said that covid-19 lockdown is already over and business operations are back to normal already. He added that it is no longer necessary to to continue with the Stimulus package rollout.

- The people of Aneityum island in TAFEA province had reported that these ants are found in Mystery island and was again confirm by BIO security.
Yellow crazy ant is in the top five insects in the world that can easily travel to other places or countries through the movement of people.
The Vanuatu BIO Security team who made the assesment in Aneityum island had reported that these ants are found with their eggs on places where rubbish are deposited in Mystery island.
Due to covid-19 lockdown, the island had not been visited by locals and rubbish had been everywhere.
BIO Security is working to make a full assesment and stop the spread of this insect because if not careful, this ant can kill other insects and some other bio micobs in an area.

Chinese government will also support the vila central hospital with medical teams. That will include two medical surgent and other specific medical experts who will work alongside the Vanuatu medical teams in VCH.
It is a huge help from the government of China to the people of Vanuatu as VCH is lacking human resources to provide service to the people.

- A personal Tracking device 'BEACON' had help safe a local fisherman from Aneityum island after he had runout of fuel when fishing.
Mr. Joel Rawai (Fisherman) said he was busy fishing for tuna and forgot to check the fuel. He left drifting the whole morning and decided to switch on the Maritime tracking device around 10:00am.
Mr. Joel said around 4-5:00pm in the evening, he show the new caledonia airforce helicopter flew towards him. On his left side, he show tourist boat also moving towards him.
He was taken by the tourist boat to Port Vila.
Mr. Joel Rawai thank all the Maritime authiorities to respone and help him. He encourage all fisherman to follow maritime safety guidlines and always take a Beacon tracking device with them.

The Tribinal is set up to to make determination on salary scale of public servants, follow the qualification and experience on their job.
The office had conduct a 4 day review in Luganville Santo. Most civil servants had come foward to raise their concerns.
GRT director said this review is to look at the challenges and factors that are impacting the salary scale and to work with the commissioners to ensure salary scale are on the right level.

- The Pot Vila handicraft vendors (mamas) had raised concern on how and why most of their products are not certified before purchased by tourists which affects their sales and tourists.
Rebecca Bula, handicraft vendor, said they love to make local products and sell them to visiting tourists but sometimes its restricted to take in the products to cruise ships. She added that it would be very helpful to the vendors and tourists if the BIO Security authorities should make an attempt to ensure all products are certified before they are sale to tourists.
