Al-Qaeda-linked rebels have attacked a Christian village of Ma'lula, in Syria - home to one of the world's oldest monasteries, the last one village in the world where still the Aramaic is spoken.
The Syrian Army has secured much of the township - but residents say radical opposition fighters, terrorist mercenaries with no moral or religion, have seized nearby hills - and their snipers are still firing indiscriminately at the community.
The Syrian Arab Army is surrounding them with the intention to neutralize them without causing more victims among the population

Apr 30, 2013 - DAMASCUS, al-Marjeh -- Thirteen people were martyred and more than seventy were injured in a terrorist bombing that rocked the crowded area of al-Marjeh in Damascus on Tuesday.
An official source said that some of the injured are in a critical condition.
Al-Marjeh in Damascus downtown is heavily populated area, being a commercial and historical area.
Earlier, a terrorist explosion rocked Mazzeh district near Ibn Rushed park in Damascus on Monday causing casualties and material damage.
In the same context a media source said that the International-backed and financially supported terrorism perpetrates a new hideous massacre against Syrian civilians in the central commercial and historical area of Damascus.
