- Description
- The 2026 Gerber baby is a smart, curious kid from Chaska who went seven months before he smiled on his own, without being prompted by a tickle to his belly.
But that smile. Whoa. That smile.
Cameron Chung’s grin — gleeful, loving, alert — came after seemingly endless nights of puncturing screams and caterwauling, the by-products of severe colic. His cries tested his mom, whose bouncing and rocking produced 25,000 steps a day, and his father, who learned to soothe his newborn to sleep only by singing Nickelback songs.
And when Cameron’s smile finally surfaced during a Minnesota winter, his mom snapped a picture, which became part of the winning entry in the national Gerber contest. While it doesn’t mean his face will appear on jars of baby food, you can expect to see Cameron in ads and social media posts throughout the year as the company’s official “spokesbaby.”

Patty Eichstadt, 79, was rattled after witnessing a young man jump from her roof and run.
“I’m so hurt to think that we live where this happens,” Eichstadt said in tears. “I said, ‘ICE get the hell out of here.’ The guy turned around and looked at me and I said, ‘They are just kids, they’re just working.’”

House Speaker Lisa Demuth, businessman Kendall Qualls and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell are all trying to win over GOP delegates - but they represent very different visions for the party.
