Minister for National Housing and Urban Development Justin Tkatchenko said this was long overdue and thanked the managing director Henry Mokono for moving things forward and finally getting some results due now for two years.

- CENTRAL Province village court magistrates and mediators were presented with uniforms and furniture by the provincial government last week Friday.
The central province has 924 court officials and 52 land mediators.
The officers will have long trousers and short-sleeve shirts each to go with a pair of boots.
There are 84 village established court areas in the province. As for the furniture, each court area will receive a foldable table and three foldable chairs.
Central Province village court and mediators advisor Colin Lama said the assistance to village court officers was the first of its kind.
He said the uniforms were made from Ripstop fabrics and would last for years. And additionally, court sessions were conducted once a week, thus the officers would have to wear the uniforms only once a week.
He said this means, they would not need new issues anytime soon.

But there was something Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare did to seal the unification of Papua with New Guinea that was a closely guarded secret; it still is today, and it was this action he took that carved his legacy scheme of things surrounding independence for PNG.

The road he made was to join New Guinea with Papua and this was literally undertaken just before independence was declared.

This is a reaction video of how he reacts when hearing the news.
It’s not every day, you get your prayers answered so when 20-year-old Jeremiah Babaga was told today that his story had touched a couple of readers who have since contacted the Post Courier and wanted to get in touch with him so that they could help him achieve his dream of one day becoming an accountant, he was speechless.
Jeremiah said that he didn't expect such goodwill from the public and he was so grateful and believed that such intervention was a blessing straight from Heaven.
