- Runtime
- 1:52
- Date posted
- Description
- This timelapse was captured on Sunday, February 1, 2015 during the dense fog event at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, Phoenix, AZ by a forecaster from our office. This north looking perspective shows the movement and slow (but not complete) dissipation of the impressive fog bank that impacted air traffic operations at KPHX. The camera ran out of battery before it could capture the complete clearing sometime around the noon hour and was placed up against a north (slightly northwest) facing window in the ATCT, in between the window glass and a lowered sun shade. This is 1 hr, 30 minutes of video condensed to just under 2 minutes.
Note: The shakiness of the video is due to air vents along the windows moving the shade and pushing against/moving the camera. Also, there is no audio.
