- While NRA and Rep Hudson pushed mightily for the full language of the Hearing Protection Act to become law, which would have dropped suppressors from the NFA, the full bill didn't happen. Gun owners can claim a victory, however, in the repealing of the $200 Tax Stamp placed on suppressors, which will likely open the door to future NFA challenges. Here is a short clip of Rep Hudson giving his thoughts on suppressors and how important NRA members' political advocacy is for passing pro-gun legislation.
