- US Ambassador Nicole Theriot confirmed today that Washington is in receipt of a request from Guyanese authorities for information which was used to bolster the recent sanctions announced by the US Treasury Department.
Ambassador Theriot underscored the strong relationship between the two countries while noting that she strongly recommended that US authorities share the requested information with their Guyanese counterparts.
The investigation, the US diplomat said, was limited to three persons.
