- A 30-year-old cold case in Ogden, Utah, seems to have been solved after detectives spoke to an inmate nearly 1,000 miles away from the crime scene.
In 2008, Richard Roy Billmayer’s family contacted the Ogden Police Department, reporting that he had been missing since 1997. It wasn’t until 2015 that police confirmed that Billmayer was a missing person.
In 2019, detectives uncovered new information that an Iowa inmate sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole for a 2001 murder could have answers for Billmayer’s disappearance.
Ogden detectives attempted to interview the inmate, 62-year-old Richard Annis, to confirm that he played a role in Billmayer’s disappearance, but he refused to speak to them.

The Charlie Kirk estate and its heirs, including Erika Kirk and her two children, as well as "prospective plaintiffs" that include Charlie Kirk's parents, Robert and Kathryn Kirk, have filed a notice of claim against UVU, the UVU Police Department, police Chief Jeffrey Long, former UVU President Astrid Tuminez and the state of Utah.

- Widespread thunderstorm activity is expected across eastern and southern Utah Wednesday with heavy rain and flash flooding possible. Isolated storms will be possible across northern Utah overnight and throughout the day tomorrow. One high resolution models shows a slight uptick in storms Wednesday evening. Also, models show a cluster of storms impacting southwest Utah, including St. George, after 4pm tomorrow. These storms may continue overnight into Thursday morning. Any storms across northern Utah Wednesday around the Wasatch Back, Western Uintas and southern half of the Wasatch Front will have a chance to be strong to severe - producing wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail up to an inch. Active weather is likely to continue through Thursday and Friday, especially across the eastern half of the state
