Security camera footage shows the man jumping clear of the boat at the last second and he was not injured, according to the Black Diamond Police Department.
Police say he forgot to raise the boat's motor, which dragged on the ground and prevented the truck from moving backward.
As he lifted the motor, the truck unexpectedly rolled back into the lake.
Authorities were able to bring the truck and trailer out of the water later that day.
