Zahid, who is also rural and regional development minister, claimed the purported pressure came in the form of officers being questioned over their presence at the events, which he said was likely framed as civil servants participating in political activities.
"What is wrong with the officers attending ministry events, when coincidentally they are held in states holding elections?" he asked.

- Setiausaha Agung DAP, Anthony Loke mengumumkan akan melepaskan jawatan sebagai Pengerusi DAP Negeri Sembilan selepas gagal mempertahankan kerusi DUN Chennah pada PRN baru-baru ini.
Loke berkata keputusan itu dibuat atas kehendaknya sendiri dan menegaskan tiada sebarang tekanan daripada parti untuk beliau berundur.

- DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke will step down as the party’s Negeri Sembilan chair after 22 years, citing his failure to defend the Chennah state seat and the party’s loss in its stronghold of Repah during the recent Negeri Sembilan polls.
Insisting that there was no pressure on him to relinquish the party’s state post, Loke described the move as his personal decision aimed at handing over the reins to a new leadership.

[KiniNews] A PKR lawmaker has launched a scathing critique of Pakatan Harapan’s defeat in Negeri Sembilan, which is the coalition’s third electoral setback since the Sabah polls in November last year.
Subang MP Wong Chen did not mince his words, blaming the defeat on what he described as Harapan’s willingness to compromise its principles in the pursuit of political survival.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Abdul Karim has called on Pakatan Harapan to serve out its full term in government before dissolving Parliament for the 16th general election.
He warned that PKR, in particular, risks being “shocked to death” by defeat if it moves ahead with an early general election.
