They put their expertise to use every day, examining draft laws, checking the work of government and debating the issues of the day.
Lord (Alf) Dubs is a former MP, who represented Battersea and Battersea South from 1979 to 1987. A former child refugee, he came to the UK in 1939 on the Kindertransport trains.
