- Recently, the Federal Government announced the suspension of the creation of new federal Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of education in Nigeria.
According to the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, this move was made to redirect resources to existing institutions still lacking infrastructure development, poor staffing, and low enrollments. However, thousands of students continue to seek admission into various available institutions year after year.
The question is, what does this imply in terms of access and quality? Joining us via Zoom to discuss this is Associate Professor Bolu Folayan of Communications at the Federal University of Technology.

During the visit, both leaders are expected to hold bilateral talks, participate in the Nigeria–Brazil Business Forum with top investors, and witness the signing of key agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
