- Colin Kaepernick's new ad for Nike is drawing both praise and ire at the same time.
The ad released yesterday is in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Nike's popular 'Just Do It' campaign.
The new ad features the face of the axed NFL player with the message: 'Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.'
Kaepernick has been without a team since he was sacked from the NFL for taken a knee during the U.S anthem to protest police brutality.
While some, including President Donald Trump, have condemned Nike for the ad, some others, including sports athletes, have praised the move.
Nike's shares have fallen after the ad was released but the sports gear giant says the ad is not about politics.

An estimated 41, 000 people have been reported to need shelters in the country of 4,749,598.
Between March and June 9,245 emergency housing grants (short term motel) were given out by the ministry of social development.
So far, a total of $10.4 million have been spent on grants for the quarter ending June 30, up from $6.6million spent initially.
There is also an increase in the waiting list from 7,890 in March to 8,704 in June, 2018. Of that total, 4458 were in Auckland.
The government had expected demand for social housing to grow as more "hidden homeless" sought help.
After the 2008 financial crisis, the previous government sold off state housing and failed to build enough affordable homes for its citizens.
New Zealand rejects the view that state housing is a redundant idea and housing provision should be left to the private sector.
