The affected farmers have since appealed to the FRA and financial institutions to expedite the payment process and find ways to make access easier for rural communities.

Speaking during the Bi-National Commission Meeting in Zimbabwe today November 14, 2025, President Hichilema said any value the remaining measures might have once had “has long expired,” stressing that sanctions continue to hinder Zimbabwe’s development efforts.
