- Description
- Texas implemented three significant educational changes in 2025. Governor Greg Abbott’s school voucher bill, Senate Bill 2, allocating $10,000 for private schools or other approved educational expenses.
However, opponents argued that it will drain funding from public schools and not hold private schools to the same accountability standards. Additionally, a bible-based curriculum for elementary school students will be introduced, with an additional $60 per student for districts that opt-in.
Lastly, the elimination of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) departments and trainings in institutions of higher education has been prohibited, causing concerns about the impact on equity and inclusivity in higher education.

- Is Gentle Parenting Making Life Harder for Teachers?
- Runtime
- 4:02
- Date posted
- Description
- Gentle parenting, also known as collaborative parenting, is a parenting style where parents do not compel children to behave by means of punishment or control, but rather use connection, communication, and other democratic methods to make decisions together as a family. Many educators seem to be split when asked if gentler parenting is making behavior worse in schools, but some educators believe that students who experience gentle parenting are some of the most outgoing socially, respectful, and accept consequences for their actions. The article highlights the potential challenges educators may face when teaching children who have been raised with gentler parenting approaches, such as authority and compliance, and emotional processing. However, many cutting-edge schools are now transforming spaces in classrooms to allow students to regulate their emotions in moments of conflict.

- Shaken, Not Stirred - Spiritually Speaking with Dr. Shewanda Riley
- Runtime

- Description
- In a time of uncertainty, Christians can find strength and peace by leaning into God’s presence. This is especially true when unexpected losses or changes occur in life. The phrase “shaken, not stirred” from James Bond’s famous martini line can be used to describe how some people respond to unexpected events. However, God wants us to be stirred up by His sovereignty and presence, not shaken by the circumstances. 2 Timothy 1:6-7 reminds us to stir up the gift of God that is in us through the laying on of my hands, and God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

- The TikTok ban has sparked a cultural exchange between Americans and Chinese users, with over 700 million users switching to RedNote (also known as Xiaohongshu). This shift has led to an unexpected surge in English homework requests from Chinese users and a 216% increase in new Mandarin learners on Duolingo.
The migration from TikTok to RedNote has also highlighted the growing demand for digital spaces where Black creators can thrive, monetize their work fairly, and receive the recognition they deserve. In response to the ban, many Black-owned apps have emerged, including Fanbase, Breakr, MelaninPeople, and The Cookout.
Despite data privacy concerns, Americans seem to prefer the social media experience crafted by Chinese tech companies, which they have struggled to replicate. This shift also highlights the need for more inclusive and diverse platforms that cater to a diverse range of users and their needs.
