- Emergency Management Minister Eleanor Olszewski announces funding for four organizations' psychological and mental-health support training: $650,000 to the Canadian Red Cross, $250,000 to jack.org, $100,000 to the Canadian Coalition for Seniors' Mental Health, and $198,700 to McMaster University for their CanEMERG public resource hub.
She is joined at the press conference in Ottawa by Anthony Housefather (her parliamentary secretary), Maggie Chi (parliamentary secretary to the minister of health), Conrad Sauvé (president and CEO of the Canadian Red Cross), and other members of the Canadian Red Cross.
