- Independent craft beer brewer, Brewdog, has called in advisers to oversee a sale that could trigger a break-up of one of Scotland’s well-known businesses.
The board of Brewdog, which brands include Punk IPA and Elvis Juice, has appointed restructuring experts AlixPartners to attract interest from potential bidders, first reported by Sky News.
Sources said that AlixPartners had begun assessing prospective bidders over the last few days, with a quick-fire deadline for indicative offers understood to have been set.

- Eleven tube route maps in the station have been temporarily resigned to mimic a pint of Guinness in Transport for London’s (TfL) latest advertising wheeze.
An image of the Guinness Toucan can be spotted on top of a sign at Tottenham Court Road, while the harp logo has also replaced the Tube roundel at platforms at the station and Covent Garden. All Elizabeth line and Central line maps remain unchanged.

Meanwhile, the government’s new package of employment rights will put a brake on hiring, according to a new report, as businesses worry about the possible risks and costs.
More than a third (37 per cent) of businesses surveyed by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) plan to reduce hiring permanent staff as a result of the measures.
