Tensions between the U.S. and Iran are reaching a new breaking point following the incident, as the fragile two-week ceasefire concludes Tuesday with little progress on peace. Iran has condemned the US attack, denying breaking the ceasefire agreement, with the Foreign Ministry saying the U.S. has shown it is not serious about the diplomatic process.

- A humanoid robot has completed a half-marathon faster than the human world record, marking what spectators called the dawn of a new era.
The winning robot, built by Chinese smartphone maker Honor, finished Beijing's 2026 Humanoid Robot Half Marathon in 50 minutes and 26 seconds on Sunday, April 19, beating Uganda's Jacob Kiplimo's human world record of approximately 57 minutes.
It's a massive leap from last year's inaugural race, where the top robot finished in 2 hours, 40 minutes.
About 40% of the 21km course's robots ran autonomously. Honor engineer Du Xiaodi credited the robot's long-leg design and a powerful liquid-cooling system as key to the win, adding the technology could one day be applied to industrial uses.
The race is part of China's broader push in humanoid robotics. Beijing's 2026-2030 five-year plan specifically targets development of robots as a strategic technology priority.
