On Monday morning, over eighty young people assembled outside the Treasury, calling on Chancellor Rachel Reeves to introduce wealth taxes on the super-rich in the upcoming 26th November Budget - the demonstration organised by Green New Deal Rising
A smaller group positioned themselves directly in front of the building, obstructing easy access to the main entrance. At the centre of the demonstration, one protester wearing a papier-mâché Rachel Reeves mask held up a red Budget box, surrounded by others carrying signs demanding that the Chancellor tax the wealthy through new wealth taxes.
