- In the remote village of Ambler, Alaska, temperatures can fall to 60 below in the winter, but heating the community's two main villages just got a lot more green. The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium installed a biomass furnace system this September. Alaska Public Media's Elyssa Loughlin reports that the new renewable energy project means a path toward cleaner energy as well as a more sustainable economy for Alaska Native communities.
