- Former US Army vice chief of staff General Jack Keane warns that Chinese President Xi Jinping is seeking to weaken US support for Taiwan.
“President Xi said he directed his military to be prepared to take Taiwan by force in 2027,” Mr Keane told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“He truly wants to separate President Trump somewhat from supporting Taiwan, in other words, weaken the US position.”
