Sofie From-Emmesberger, the European Union Ambassador to Ethiopia, said the EU remains a trusted partner during a press briefing held on 11 March, 2025.
Ambassador Sofie described the current geopolitical development as a "tectonic" shift and "unpredictable" in her remarks. "This is a time with tectonic shifts. We are in an unpredictable period and operating in an environment we don't really know where we are going," she said. "Here we need to stick together as partners," she added.
The deputy director general for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Ambassador Abraham, on his part, applauded the fifty years of relations and called for more investment and trade to further strengthen the relations.
